Questions

Can I switch plans later?

Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Downgrading past a limit (like the board cap on Basic) won't delete anything you've already built; you just won't be able to create more until you're back under the limit or upgrade again.

Is self-hosting really free, no catch?

Really free. The hosted plans exist for people who'd rather not run a server themselves — they're not a more-featured version of the same open-source code.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You can export everything at any time from your Account page, no matter which plan you're on.
